Duckor Metzger & Wynne, APLC Shareholder Tony R. Skogen, Jr. is a litigator who defends businesses of all types in a variety of employment and business law disputes. He handles matters ranging from single plaintiff claims to large class action cases.
A veteran employment law trial attorney, Tony’s experience includes wrongful termination, sexual harassment, other types of harassment, discrimination and retaliation claims. He handles Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) claims, trade secret issues and all manner of employment-related litigation. Prior to representing management, Tony prosecuted plaintiffs’ employment claims. Through those experiences, he gained a unique and invaluable perspective for defending businesses and management, often leading to creative solutions and litigation avoidance.
Tony is also experienced in handling business-to-business contract disputes. Businesses in a variety of industries repeatedly return to Tony for his trusted, skilled counsel. He represents technology, shipping and construction companies, as well as manufacturers, food distributors, general contractors, hospitals and restaurants.
Tony listens to his clients’ priorities and tailors his advocacy for what makes the most business sense to the client, whether that’s an inventive early resolution or a trial strategy that supports the client’s global business goals. He handles actions in both state and federal courts, arbitrations and before administrative boards, including the California Labor Commissioner and the National Labor Relations Board.
