LITIGATION PARALEGAL
Duckor Metzger & Wynne is seeking an experienced paralegal with minimum five years’ experience supporting a busy civil litigation practice. Responsibilities and skills include preparation of and responding to discovery on pending litigation; document management and organization; analysis of documents and preparation of same for production; preparing draft judicial council forms for various court-related hearings; preparing attorneys for depositions, including preparation of exhibits, handling of exhibits during remote depositions, summarizing of deposition transcripts; all aspects of trial preparation; communicating with firm personnel, clients, vendors and other third parties; competency in software applications, including word processing, document management software, spreadsheet and database management, e-discovery, timekeeping, and forms programs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years paralegal experience
- Working knowledge of general legal concepts, terminology, and principles
- Good project management skills
- Attention to detail, time management, good judgment, and solid organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- High degree of professionalism
- Experience in law firm practice groups
- Knowledge of document management software like Eclipse;
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal certification (prefer both)
California pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience is $28.85 to $43.27 per hour.
