Duckor Metzger & Wynne, APLC congratulates Shareholder Scott L. Metzger on being appointed to the University of San Diego School of Law Board of Visitors. As a Visitor, Scott joins a body of accomplished leaders from across the country who play a pivotal role in advising the law school dean on challenges and opportunities while representing the school in the community.
“My time at USD School of Law was transformative, providing me with the knowledge, skills and connections that were fundamental to my career,” Scott said (’79). “I am honored to now be selected to serve alongside such an esteemed group of professionals to support the school’s mission and contribute to the continued success and growth of our law school and legal community.”
Scott will serve an initial three-year term as a Visitor. He will attend meetings and engage in discussions to advance the School of Law as a “leading center of legal education and scholarship.” Visitors provide advisement in various areas, including financial resources, faculty development, student admissions, career placement, academic and clinical program initiatives, alumni involvement and outreach to the legal community.
Throughout his career, Scott, who serves as an adjunct professor at the School of Law, has prioritized contributing to his business and legal communities. Originally making a name for himself through his litigation successes, his leadership roles, commitment to the next generation of lawyers and reputation as a fair and smart arbitrator have rightfully earned him accolades as one of California’s most committed, knowledgeable and talented attorneys.
